Aren’t you glad it’s almost fall? A week from today autumn will officially arrive, along with all the iconic symbols of the season—apple picking, hayrides, crunchy leaves and of course pumpkin-flavored everything! Yes, pumpkin season is nearly here, and soon pumpkin spice lattes and jack o’lanterns will be around every corner, but rumor has it there is a new pumpkin in town…
On September 1, Burt’s Pumpkin Farm in Dawsonville, Georgia unveiled The World’s Largest Drive-Through Pumpkin. Standing at a whopping 45 feet, this gourd-geous pumpkin is the new home to the beloved talking pumpkins, Autumn and Gourdy. Guests are invited to take a hayride through Autumn and Gordy’s new harvest home, as they learn about the process of growing pumpkins!

This larger than life attraction was the vision of farm owner Johnny Burt. For over 50 years, Burt and his wife, Kathy, have been growing pumpkins on their farm. What started as a front-yard pumpkin patch grew into 50-70 acres of pumpkins every year, attracting fall-fun seekers from all over Georgia. This year, Burt wanted to honor the family traditions many have found in his farm, while giving guests a new immersive experience, one that would spark wonder and create lasting memories. From this dream, The World’s Largest Drive-Through Pumpkin was born.
This fall, skip the grocery store pumpkins and make pumpkin picking an autumn adventure by visiting Burt’s Pumpkin Farm. As you drive north into the mountains, you and your family will spot the stunning display of leaves changing colors. Then once you’ve arrived, make sure you snap a few fall family photos with rows and rows of pumpkins behind you. Before you select the perfect pumpkin to carve, find a seat on the hayride. As you come over the hill, feast your eyes on the pumpkin everyone is talking about and its two pumpkin inhabitants! When you visit Burt’s you leave with more than just a pumpkin, you leave with unforgettable memories!
From September 1 to November 10th, Burt’s Pumpkin Farm is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
