Tucked away in a charming white building in downtown Braselton is a surprising little gem. Cork It is the perfect place for catching up with girlfriends, enjoying a date night out or grabbing a pre-dinner cocktail.
Their interior space is adorable, cozy and inviting, with the added bonus of a large patio creating a conundrum of where to sit and sip. The tipping point of deciding may depend on whether it’s a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday when they have talented live music.
Even though “wine” is in the name, this spot offers a full bar with specialty and classic cocktails. The Smoked Old Fashioned lives up to expectations and does not disappoint. Of course, the wine list is extensive but not intimidating, with offerings by the glass or bottle. The friendly staff is accommodating in answering questions and making recommendations.
Now that your drink order’s covered, are you craving a little bite to pair? Obviously, they have tasty charcuteries that you can customize (with additions from the fabulous Antebellum restaurant), but Cork It also has a delightful selection of small plates with something for every appetite. Although limited, it is nicely varied with open-faced bruschetta, paninis, hummus, desserts and more. If you prefer to drink your dessert, the Espresso Martini is a must-try!
Braselton’s Cork It opens at 4:00 p.m. daily with varying events and live music listed on their website.
