Netherworld Haunted House has officially opened for its 30th Season of Screams! This acclaimed Atlanta-area haunted attraction has already earned recognition as No. 2 on America Haunts’ 2026 Top 5 Fan Favorite Haunted Attractions list and No. 4 in the USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Haunted House/Attraction during its milestone season. Located just outside of Gwinnett in Stone Mountain, Netherworld is the premier spot during spooky season for spine-tingling thrills!

As The DiG’s resident spooky writer, I’ve visited numerous haunted attractions across Georgia. However, nothing could have prepared me for the incredible cinematic storytelling and genuine terrors at Netherworld. This year’s haunts include Curse of the Collector and Beyond Oblivion: Legacy of Evil, incorporating iconic Netherworld moments and characters from its decades-long operation with new terrors. Whether you’re a long-time fan or a newbie looking for the perfect witching hour activity to experience with your crew, this is the ultimate terrifying attraction to make the most of your October.
The Curse of the Collector
The Curse of the Collector is the first haunt that you get to experience, diving into an epic supernatural battle that showcases numerous creatures from Netherworld’s history. It follows The Collector, a soul-gathering entity who has rebelled against the masters of Netherworld so he can destroy the gateway that connects our realm to theirs. Within this battle, you’ll see various creatures in his forces, including The Brotherhood’s Frankensteinian warriors, werewolves, the Halloween-loving Children of Autumn and his discarded husks. As you make the journey through the haunt, you’ll be transported into legendary moments like The Library of the Lost, The Invasion of the Gargoyles, The Crawling Eyes and many more. I won’t give away any spoilers but let’s just say that this haunt will have you screaming with terror around every corner!

After you finish The Curse of the Collector, you’ll enter Halloween Midway, the midway point to the other attraction. Here, there are roaming monsters, themed photo opportunities, haunted displays, mini escape games, a coffin experience and plenty of tasty food and drink options. Dr. Octane’s Bizarre Beverages sells spine-tingling mocktails in a variety of flavors that are fang-tastic and refreshing. I recommend getting the special anniversary cup for your drink, as it’s a fun souvenir and it lights up on the bottom! There’s also plenty of creepy bites, including vegan mini corn dogs, donuts, barbecue sandwiches and so much more to enjoy for a quick bite. I chose the mini vegan corn dogs, which came out piping hot, crispy and full of flavor. Also located in this area is the photo pick-up area, where you can choose to purchase a commemorative photo of you and your boo (taken at the beginning of the haunt). Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop where you can find a plethora of spooky finds and merchandise before heading off to the second haunt.

Beyond Oblivion: Legacy of Evil
Beyond Oblivion: Legacy of Evil is where the adventure continues and is the largest second attraction Netherworld has produced! Here, the infamous Mangler has attempted one of his most horrific experiments yet, transforming captured cryptids into twisted food products. Mutant insects and other terrifying creatures have become part of The Mangler’s decades-long experiment to carry out his Legacy of Evil. Guests will walk through a grotesque world of laboratories, abandoned towns, slaughterhouses, swamps and more. Eerie scenes like The Bottomless Pit of Doom, The Hospital of Horrors and plenty of new nightmares will have you jumping out of your skin in fear!

Overall, I had the perfect horrifying experience at Netherworld Haunted House! Everything from the elaborate costumes and stage makeup on the creatures to the ghoulish atmosphere made the attractions out of this world. As you walk through both of the themed haunts, you’re instantly immersed in a grotesque realm, filled with eerie creatures who have perfected the art of jump scares. Netherworld is open from now until November 7, almost nightly, so secure your tickets today and get ready to be terrified.
