FALL BEER GARDEN

AUTUMN DEFENSE WILD HEAVEN

(DECATUR, GA)

When I think of fall I think of Oktoberfest, so lets get this list started off with my favorite marzen. Autumn Defense, with toasted malts, caramel and a woody earthiness, is a great beer to get your fall kickstarted.

APPALACHIAN COFFEE STOUT

SLOW POUR BREWING COMPANY

(LAWRENCEVILLE, GA)

For me nothing says fall like sitting down and enjoying a good stout. And a good stout is made even better by combining two delicious beverages that were meant to be together – beer and coffee! You will find espresso, dark chocolate, caramel, raisin and dark fruit flavors and a dry finish in this stout. Don’t be afraid to let this one warm up a bit, that is when the flavors really come to life! Look for this beer soon.

KOKO BUNI

CREATURE COMFORTS

(ATHENS, GA) This milk porter makes for the perfect after dinner treat. It hits you with flavors of toasted coconut, cocoa, vanilla, coffee and roasted malts. No one flavor oversteps it bounds, everything is in perfect balance in this beer.

NOSTALGIA IPA

SLOW POUR BREWING COMPANY

(LAWRENCEVILLE, GA)

I know IPA’s are not what you traditionally think of when it comes to fall, but is there ever really a bad time for an IPA? This beer is the perfect football game companion. It is a smooth, crisp and aromatic IPA with floral notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and citrus. The malt contributes a slight honey sweetness to bring the beer into balance. Slow Pour Nostalgia pairs perfectly with family, friends and good conversation.
