Work Hard, Play Hard in Lilburn!

If there’s one thing Lilburn knows, it’s how to work hard and play even harder! This November, Lilburn’s community is coming together to do just that at America Recycles Day and Holiday Light and Flights Fest.

To kickstart your season of giving, join Lilburn for America Recycles Day on November 14. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. the Public Works Department will be available at the City Hall parking lot. They will be collecting select bulk items, offering secure paper shredding and sharing more information on how we can keep Lilburn’s waterways clean. If you’re looking for a more hands-on way to support the cause, you can volunteer with the Yellow River: Trash Bash project, collecting trash and preventing it from contaminating Lilburn’s water. Whether you’re bringing your recyclables, volunteering or just stopping by to listen and learn, every contribution adds up in the effort to keep Lilburn beautiful.

Now that you have worked hard and secured your spot on The Nice List, it’s time to gather with friends, family and neighbors for Holiday Lights and Flight Fest. On November 21 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. come to Lilburn Park for an evening of magical light displays. With a tree lighting ceremony illuminating the ground and a holiday drone show dazzling the sky, new and old traditions will come together to make one extraordinary night. The fun doesn’t end there! There will be an array of food trucks and festive bites, a kid’s corner full of crafts and activities and familiar holiday tunes performed by local school groups and churches. To top it all off, Santa will be there, ready to hear your Christmas wish-list and snap a few photos!

However you choose to come together with the community, whether it’s to keep it beautiful or to keep it festive, there will be plenty of opportunities to work hard and play hard in Lilburn this November!
