Tipsy: Party Punch Recipe

When people hear the phrase “party punch,” they tend not to react fondly. Often, the mention of it causes people to flash back to college, where they would scoop up a cupful of some red liquid containing who knows what, chug the mystery mix and wake up with the worst headache ever. Despite this reputation, a party punch is an easy, delicious and fast solution to provide your friends with a tasty beverage without spending the entire evening making each guest their own cocktail.

Here’s a party punch recipe that you can make ahead of time and let your friends forget about their jungle juice woes:

Pomegranate Peach Party Punch

(Makes 1.5 gallons, about 20 servings)

Ingredients

  • 24 oz Pomegranate Liqueur
  • 12 oz Jamaican Rum
  • 12 oz Peach Liqueur
  • 12 oz Agave Syrup
  • 96 oz Water
  • 18 oz Fresh Lime Juice*
  • 1 cup peach slices*
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds*

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large beverage dispenser, stir and add ice.
  2. Pour your punch into a glass with ice and garnish with a rosemary sprig.
  3. Enjoy!

*NOTE: If preparing the punch in advance, do not add the lime juice, peach slices and pomegranate seeds until the day of your party and refrigerate the drink mixture. Then, on party day, add the remaining ingredients to your chilled punch mix, stir and add ice.
