If you thought summer was winding down, think again. The City of Lilburn is keeping the fun rolling with delicious food, live music, friendly competition, glowing nights and community celebrations that make every week feel like an event. Whether you’re planning a family outing, looking for a fun date night or simply searching for a reason to get outside, there’s no shortage of ways to make the most of the season in Lilburn.
Kick things off at Food Truck Tuesday on Tuesday, July 14, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. Every second Tuesday of the month, Lilburn City Park transforms into one of the tastiest nights around. Grab dinner from an incredible lineup of local food trucks, including 6 Pack Subs, Ponko Chicken, Bangin Burgers & Buns, Southern Comfort, Small’s Big Taste, Palachinx, Repicci’s Italian Ice and King of Pops. While you eat, enjoy live music from singer-songwriter Andy Liechty, whose blend of country, folk and Americana keeps the crowd entertained with original songs, favorites and plenty of audience interaction. Be sure to browse local business pop-up vendors while you’re there—you never know what local treasures you’ll discover.
Looking for a little friendly competition? Grab a partner and register for the Cornhole League before registration closes on Tuesday, July 28. The league kicks off Thursday, August 6, with games every Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. in Lilburn City Park. Whether you’re aiming for bragging rights or just looking for a fun way to spend your evenings, the Cornhole League is the perfect mix of competition, community and laughs.
Then get ready to light up the night at Glow With the Flow on Saturday, August 1, from 7:00–10:00 p.m. The Splash Pad takes on a whole new personality after dark with glowing neon lights, upbeat music from a live DJ, glow-in-the-dark games and exciting prize giveaways. It’s a one-of-a-kind summer experience that’s perfect for families, kids and anyone who loves a little extra energy after sunset.
The fun continues on Friday, August 14, with Lilburn Blue and You from 6:00–8:00 p.m. This special community event brings neighbors and local law enforcement together for an evening of live demonstrations, family-friendly activities, food and meaningful conversations. It’s a wonderful opportunity to strengthen community connections while enjoying an evening in the park.
And while you’re visiting for one of these exciting events, don’t forget to spend a little extra time exploring everything Old Town Lilburn has to offer. Grab a meal on the patio at 1910 Public House, enjoy authentic Mexican flavors at Agavero Parkside, start your morning with coffee and fresh baked goods from Haven Bodega, or unwind with a glass of wine at The Bubbly Goat. Looking to explore beyond the restaurants? Stroll through the unique shops in Old Town, enjoy the scenic beauty of Camp Creek Greenway, spend time with the family at Lilburn City Park, or discover the many local businesses that make downtown such a welcoming destination.
