On the Stage Children’s Theatre
On the Stage Children’s Theatre was founded by Renee Hanna and is a non-profit organization with the goal of giving all children the resources to be a part of a performing arts program. They offer inclusive productions, classes, summer camps, outreach and touring programs along with a welcoming space to help give kids the confidence they need to be successful. Partners of this incredible organization include the City of Sugar Hill and The Eagle Theatre, working together to give children the ability to express themselves, make new friends and live out their performing arts dreams. Year-round productions are hosted at The Eagle Theatre and The Bowl at Sugar Hill, perfect for visitors who want to help support the local arts community.
Upcoming Performances
Coming to the stage this March, the theatre will be putting on two productions that you can catch, including Charlotte’s Web and Junie B. Jones Jr. the Musical. These children’s classics follow the iconic stories we all know and love for that perfect nostalgic fix. The second showing of Charlotte’s Web will be held on Sunday, March 1, from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m., following the beloved story of Wilbur, Charlotte, Fern and other barnyard characters as Charlotte tries to save Wilbur from an untimely end. Junie B. Jones Jr. the Musical will hit the stage on March 28 with two showtimes in the afternoon and evening. This musical follows Junie B. Jones Jr’s experience of her first year of first grade and is packed with iconic moments from a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal” to an incident of being unable to read the blackboard in Mr. Scary’s class.
