Farmers Market Fun
With the season of renewal upon us, now is the perfect time to incorporate more seasonal produce into your diet by checking out the Snellville Farmers Market! Held on the first and third Saturday of every month until May, you can catch this market at the Snellville City Hall Parking lot from 9:00 a.m. to noon. It’s a producer-only market, meaning that everything you see has been crafted locally! You can find everything from roasted coffee and freshly baked treats to meats, fresh produce, honey, eggs and so much more. The market also has a selection of local arts and crafts items, including handmade pottery. We recommend arriving early with your reusable bags, grabbing a latte and a delicious pastry before exploring all of the vendors for the full experience. Leashed dogs are also welcome, so bring your furry friend and make the most of your spring Saturday morning.
Family-Friendly Events
As for events, the excitement kicks off with Cool Cars at Briscoe Park on Saturday, April 25, which will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All years, makes and models of cars are welcome to join with an entree fee of $20. This event will have something for everyone to enjoy, including door prizes, vendors, a 50/50 raffle and food concessions, making it an all-ages extravaganza! There will also, of course, be a Popular Choice Awards for Best Classic & Modern and Top 20 entrees. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry. Then, on May 9 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the beloved Beach Blast event makes its comeback! If you haven’t attended this thrilling summer event, Oak Road by the Towne Green gets transformed into a sandy beach, perfect for enjoying an afternoon of non-stop fun! Featuring live entertainment, a Big Kahuna Water Slide, inflatables, a gaming bus and so much more, this is the perfect family-friendly event to make unforgettable memories.
