Spooky Activities in Gwinnett

Calling all witches, monsters and ghouls this Halloween season! Have a spooktacular fall season by exploring Gwinnett’s frights and fun sights. From pumpkin picking that the entire family can enjoy to an immersive Vampire experience, our DiG team has compiled a list of activities this spooky season that will be eerie-sistible!

Buford Corn Maze
Opening for its 16th season on August 31st under new ownership, the Buford Corn Maze is the perfect place to bring the kids and have a fun-filled afternoon this fall. Enjoy hayrides, a pumpkin patch and a themed corn maze based around three important pollinators: butterflies, bees and bats! For those feeling brave, check out the immersive Scream Zone Vampire experience where you have to escape a lair full of traps set by vampire hunters from the 4th order. To bring the horror of this vampire adventure to life even more, guests are given 3-D glasses to wear during the experience.

Sugar Rush Arts Festival
There’s no better way to celebrate fall than by attending the Sugar Rush Arts Festival! This event takes place from October 18th to 20th and features over 100 vendors, food trucks, live music and arts & crafts for the kids to enjoy. Check out the Nightmare on Broad Street Film Festival on October 18th at the Eagle Theatre during this event where local film submissions on the horror, sci-fi and other creepy genres will be shown for free!

Randy’s Pumpkin Patch
It can’t be a spooky season without picking out the perfect pumpkin to turn into a jack-o-lantern so make sure to add Randy’s Pumpkin Patch to your list! Opening on September 20th, this pumpkin patch also includes pony rides, face painting, games, a Haunted House slide, carnival-style food and more.

Norcross Historic Cemetery Tour
Roam the historic grounds of Norcross City Cemetery on September 22nd at 2:00 p.m., through a special tour led by local historian Gene Ramsay. You’ll learn about Norcross’s town founders, the mystery behind street names, and hear spine-chilling stories from 1915-1923.

Howl on the Green
Grab the family and put on your best Halloween costumes this October 25th from 6-10 p.m., for Howl on the Green at Duluth Town Green. This ghoulish event features live music, food, drinks, a costume contest with a prize, Trunk-or-Treating and a sizzling finale full of fire dancers, aerialists and more!
