Something for Everyone at Sugar Hill

Summer is in full swing, and there’s no better place to soak it all in than Downtown Sugar Hill. Whether you’re trying to hit your step goal or plan fun nights out with family and friends, Sugar Hill has something for everyone.

Start your summer strong at The E Center! With memberships starting at $10 for residents and $60 for non-residents, staying active has never been more accessible. The gym features a six-layer padded walking and running track, top-of-the-line fitness equipment, including treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, rowers, free weights, and a multi-use strength gym. For an extra boost, check out the wide variety of fitness classes offered.

Prefer your workouts with a view? Hit the Sugar Hill Greenway, a scenic and inclusive trail system perfect for walking, jogging, biking, and dog walking. With five miles currently open, this 16.5-mile multi-use path connects neighborhoods, parks, and schools to Downtown Sugar Hill. Start at Mile Zero in Cornerstone Park and go to Gold Mine Park for a peaceful way to stay active in nature.

July brings the return of one of our favorite summer traditions, Sparks in the Park. Join us on July 3 at E.E. Robinson Park North for an evening of fun starting at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy live music from Band X, tasty bites from local food trucks, and a dazzling fireworks show after sunset.

Cool down indoors during our $2 Summer Break Bash Movies at The Eagle Theatre, presented by Natural Gas Connection. From July 7 through 11 at 3 p.m. daily, enjoy family-friendly films like Wreck-It Ralph, Elemental, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, and The Smurfs. Don’t forget to grab some fresh popcorn from the concessions stand.

Then, on July 12, get ready for an unforgettable night at The Eagle Theatre as Hank Azaria and The EZ Street Band present “A Springsteen Celebration.” Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets are on sale now at www.eagleatsugarhill.com.

Looking for something to keep the little ones entertained? The Splash Park is the place to be. Pack a picnic and relax while the kids cool off. Don’t miss Splash Nights on July 18 and 25, featuring inflatables, live music, and a movie under the stars. The fun continues with Surf’s Up on July 18 and The Lego Batman Movie on July 25, which will also include a special birthday celebration for Eddy the Eagle, complete with guest appearances from some of his mascot friends.

Whether you’re looking to stay active, enjoy quality time with family, or experience one-of-a-kind community events, Sugar Hill has it all this summer. Make your plans, mark your calendars, and experience the Sweet Life.
