We’ve had a lot of labs and golden retrievers, and we’ve wasted a LOT of money on “indestructible toys” for aggressive chewers. Save your money and go for the classic Kong. Made out of durable, natural rubber, these things truly go the distance. Kongs satisfy our puppies’ instinctual needs to chew, and it’s much easier to get dinner made when they’re trying to get the treats stuffed inside. They double as a fantastic fetch toy as well, thanks to the unpredictable bounce from the distinct snowman shape.

Puppies are notoriously fast eaters, which can cause upset tummies, vomiting, diarrhea and bad habits—none of which are enjoyable for their human caretakers. The maze-like interior of the bowl slows eating time and aids in digestion, and our dog really seems to enjoy the challenge of maneuvering his mouth over the playful pattern.
