Be it tacos or tapas, expect the streets to be lined with endless culinary delights. With so many options to choose from, you’re going to want to bring the whole gang with you so that you can sample all of the local flavors you know and love. Remember to branch out and try something new – it might just become your new favorite dish!
In Snellville, We Like to Party!
Salt, sun, sand, and fun: all are included in Snellville’s May events calendar this spring! Starting the month off strong, Snellville is hosting its last ever Beach Blast on the Towne Green on May 9th. Held from 12 – 5 pm in front of City Hall, the Beach Blast is a FREE public event that brings the beach to you; Oak Street becomes a paradise of soft white sand, with live entertainment, games, contests, vendors, and so much more! The Beach Blast is also incredibly family friendly and includes a Kid’s Activity Zone where the munchkins can play and splash to their hearts content!
The Celebration Continues
Snellville is celebrating in a different way this May by honoring soldiers at the annual Memorial Day Celebration. Make your way down to the Veteran’s Memorial on May 23rd from 4:30 – 5:30 pm to pay your respects to those who have fought and lost their lives for the country. Then, slide on over to the Towne Green to catch a show on the Lawn put on by Departure, a beloved Journey tribute band. The show runs from 6 – 9 pm, so be sure to stock up on snacks and stay hydrated as you party down!
No matter what event calls to you this spring, just know that Snellville is welcoming all kinds of adventurers with open arms. It’s time to get up, go out, and enjoy this nice Georgia weather – you never know how long we’ll have it!
