The new school year is kicking off, and we’re full of hometown pride for our exceptional Duluth High School! Whether your kid is a rising freshman or back for another incredible year, Duluth High School has everything to set them up for success.
Ms. Cindy Kinchen, who formally led the 9th Grade Academy program for six years before stepping into her role as principal back in 2024, is ready to welcome students back for a year of learning and fun. Prospective parents and their kids are welcome to visit the campus for a community tour throughout the school year. Community tours take place every Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and parents can email Milagros Lockhart at milagros.lockhart@gcpsk12.org for more information.
If you’re looking to get involved this school year, there are a ton of opportunities to give back, whether it’s in-person or through a generous donation. Scan the QR code to fill out a form on how you’d like to contribute, whether it’s sending in snacks for PBIS student recognition, becoming a business partner, mentoring students and so much more. It’s a great way to get involved in the Duluth community and help support our students.
An upcoming event to mark your calendars with is Curriculum Night, which will be held on September 17, 2025, at Duluth High School! It’ll be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and is a great way for parents to meet the teachers, visit the classrooms and learn more about this year’s curriculum.
Here’s to another great school year of learning in Duluth!
