Magical Memories in Snellville this Holiday Season

There is a lot to look forward to this holiday season—hearing festive music in every store, tasting warm gingerbread cookies, smelling the Christmas tree—but none of these things compare to the joy of seeing your friends, family and loved ones gathered together! Whether you’re present shopping with friends, sitting down for a meal with family or watching a parade with your neighbors, magical memories are best made together, and this holiday season Snellville is making magical memories happen!

Before the holiday season is in full swing, join Snellville in honoring the heroes who have served our nation. There will be a Veterans Program held at the Veterans Memorial, starting at 3 p.m. on November 11. Then Snellville is kicking off the holiday season with events bringing the community together for some family fun! On Saturday, November 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. get jolly at the Towne Green for Snellville’s 12th Annual Christmas Lighted Parade and 45th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting. At 5:30 p.m. the parade will fill the streets with festive floats, trucks and tractors all dressed to impress in their Christmas costumes, not to mention the community groups marching along! As the parade makes its way around the Towne Green, keep an eye out for the guest of honor—Santa Claus! After the parade, Santa and his elves will return to the Towne Green to say hello and oversee the rest of the festivities! With cookies to ice, ornaments to decorate, s’mores to roast, and a special Home Depot activity to build, there will be plenty to do before the dazzling tree lighting ceremony begins at 7 p.m.

If you miss Santa Clause at the Towne Green, don’t worry! He’ll be coming to town again at 1 p.m. on December 5 to take pictures with you and your family at The Grove at Towne Center. Speaking of The Grove, it’s the perfect place to host your holiday events, with its many delicious restaurants serving everything from dumplings to tacos. If you’re hosting a larger celebration, then check out the private dining room in Parkside at the Grove and the event spaces in Crooked Can Brewing Company. Whether you’re planning a holiday party for the office or a get-together with old friends, The Grove has the ambience, food and local charm to make your holiday event feel extra special!

From watching parades with your neighbors to sitting down for a meal with family and friends, there are so many ways to gather in Snellville this holiday season. Mark your calendars and book your reservations, because it’s time to make some magical memories!
