With downtown Sugar Hill officially transformed into a winter wonderland, it’s time to enjoy the holiday season with our lineup of exciting events! We’ve got something for everyone to enjoy, even for that self-proclaimed Grinch in your family, so you can make unforgettable and magical memories with your loved ones.
On Saturday, December 13, we’ll be hosting our Holiday Celebration – a festive event that’s perfect for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Taking place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., start your evening by checking out The Landing for some pre-holiday shopping. Here, you’ll find a variety of local vendors selling holiday gifts, giving those magical market vibes. Next, head over to the ornament decorating station and craft a beautiful ornament to hang on your tree! If you have your little ones with you, there will be a free photo opportunity with Santa. Your pictures will be mailed directly to your home, making it a fun present to look forward to. Afterwards, head over to the Youth Council’s Santa Letter Writing Station and write your holiday wishlist that will be mailed over to the North Pole. Don’t forget to take the time to walk around, take some sleigh-tastic photo-ops with our displays and soak up the holiday spirit.
The magic doesn’t stop there because starting on December 22, The Eagle Theatre will be hosting its Winter Break Bash Movies. For only $2, you can catch all of your fan-favorite films at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Movie titles include Elf, The Polar Express and Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. If you haven’t watched a movie at The Eagle Theatre, it’s truly an incredible experience, from the vintage ambiance to the delicious concession stand treats. So, grab your friends, family and loved ones to take advantage of this affordable winter activity!
A winter adventure in Sugar Hill isn’t complete without going on an ice skating adventure at the Sugar Hill Ice Rink. General admission with skate rental is $16 for adults and $14 for kids who are 8 years old and younger. Boy and Girl club scouts who are in their uniform receive free skate rentals along with active duty, reserve and retired military personnel. Bring your whole crew with you and skate around the ice for a truly memorable experience!
