Foodie Friday

Here at the DiG, we love to uncover Gwinnett’s hottest restaurants, from newly opened establishments to family-operated spots that have been pillars of our community. For our Foodie Friday series, we took a trip over to Suwanee Social to discover what the buzz is about for this new addition to the culinary scene.

Suwanee Social specializes in global flair from its extraordinary tapas to its craft cocktails. This is the type of establishment where the good vibes, food and drinks keep flowing. Inside, you’ll find a vibrant and cozy atmosphere, where rich colors come together to craft the perfect ambiance for an evening out with friends. Everything from the dim lighting to the unique floral pattern on the seating creates an upscale yet approachable vibe.

As you peruse their food menu, you’ll find that it’s divided into sections of different global cuisines. Within each section, there are dishes that are inspired by these culinary destinations, allowing you to truly taste around the world. For our Foodie Friday spotlight, we’re focusing on the Dim sum section, where you’ll find Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean-inspired small plates.

Our top pick from this section is the Gyoza Potsticker, which features pan-fried dumplings filled with cabbage, onion, white pepper, ginger and scallion. It’s topped with chili thread, sesame and served with a furikake sauce for dipping. If you’re looking for a plate that’s packed with flavor, this is the dish for you! The texture of the dumpling is perfectly chewy yet crispy from the pan-fried process and the furikake sauce has the perfect balance of rich umami flavor that brings everything together.

The next time you’re craving global flavors, head over to Suwanee Social for a culinary experience like no other.
