For this week’s Foodie Friday feature, we’re giving you some Southern-style breakfast inspo with the Brunch Apothecary! Located just outside of Gwinnett County in Dacula, this breakfast spot is a popular place to enjoy delicious dishes in a unique atmosphere.
The Brunch Apothecary opened its doors in 2016 by husband-and-wife duo Rico and Kate Cunnington, quickly becoming a renowned spot. It’s housed in a 1905, one-story Folk Victorian country house that used to be the residence and office of the town’s physician back in the day. It’s not often that you get to dine in a historic home, which is part of the reason why this place is a popular pick amongst locals! Inside, the walls are decorated with vintage decor, with many of the rooms including a fireplace that would have been used to heat the home.
As for their menu, you’ll find a selection of Southern breakfast and brunch items, each offering a delectable bite. We’re highlighting The Cure All item from their menu, which gives you two eggs your style, a choice of biscuit or toast, protein and a side. While you can’t go wrong when making your selection, we recommend getting the biscuit (with an add-on of sausage gravy), bacon and hashbrown casserole. Their biscuits are truly some of the best around, perfectly flaky, buttery and fluffy! With the sausage gravy added on top, which has a little bit of a kick, it doesn’t get better than that. Throw in your preferred style of eggs, crispy bacon and hashbrown casserole and you’ll leave full and happy. If you’re tempted, they have a glass case by the front of housemade desserts that are so worth getting to-go!
