Kicking off on November 14, the North Atlanta Dance Theatre will be heading to the Gas South Theater to perform the classical ballet known as The Nutcracker. Following the timeless holiday story of Clara’s trip through the Snowflakes to the Land of the Sweets to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy, this show is a great way to enjoy some holiday magic. They’ll have multiple shows throughout November that you can attend. If you’re unable to attend one of their shows, the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre will also be stopping by the Gas South Theater to put on their version of The Nutcracker. You can catch them on stage from December 12-21, just in time to fit into your holiday plans.
Another magical event that will be coming to the Gas South Convention Center is the Georgia Festival of Trees. This incredible event will take place from November 22 to 30, so mark your calendars now! The opening day will have a special Jimmy Buffett tribute Show, perfect for any fans out there who want to enjoy some live entertainment. As for the festival itself, you can expect to be transported into a winter wonderland! Highlights of this experience include a forest of fully-decorated Christmas trees, live entertainment, boutique gift shops, sugar cookie decorating and a Christmas gingerbread competition. Plus, the iconic Pink Pig Train will be at the event, featuring an exciting trek that takes you throughout the entire festival.
Rounding off the lineup of exciting events is Gwinnett Glows, taking place on November 21! This free, community event will feature a tree lighting ceremony, food trucks, hot cocoa, vendors & crafts, photo opportunities and live entertainment from local choirs. It’ll be an evening of joy, community spirit and holiday cheer.
