Now’s the perfect time to get active and reconnect with the great outdoors in Duluth! If you’re familiar with our parks but aren’t taking advantage of the full offerings from our Parks & Recreation department, you’re missing out! From beautiful parks perfect for a leisurely stroll to exceptional classes and athletic programs, Duluth has it all.

Local Parks

We’re home to an array of beautiful parks, each with something unique to offer! For a stunning view of the Chattahoochee River, Rogers Bridge Park is a great place to explore. It features 24 acres of outdoor space along with picnic pavilions, a playground and the Chattahoochee Dog Park. If you’re just looking for a small playground to let your kids roam free, Taylor Park is a popular spot! It’s located in front of Duluth City Hall, making it a convenient location to let your little ones get their energy out after exploring our downtown area and it has a train-themed playground.

There’s also W.P. Jones Memorial Park, which has a playground, a nature trail and tennis courts, perfect for visitors of all ages. If you’re looking to experience a piece of community history, McDaniel Farm Park is a great spot to spend the afternoon at, as it has multi-use trails, a playground and historic structures from a 1930s cotton farm. Another popular park that’s great for outdoor recreation is Bunten Road Park. It features sports fields, courts, walking trails and playgrounds.

Progress and Classes For All Ages

Our Parks & Recreation department works hard to keep our parks clean, along with ensuring visitors of all ages can enjoy stellar programs and classes! These services are available for residents and non-residents to enjoy at Bunten Road Park. If you check out the Parks & Recreation page, you’ll discover that each program is divided into youth, camps, adult and active adult sections, making it a breeze to find something that speaks to you! For example, our Power Yoga kicks off on February 4 and continues until February 25, perfect for any adults who are ready to dive  into their yogi era. Other classes range from kids’ ballet and tap to strength training for active adults and so much more.

Get active this February and take advantage of Duluth’s exceptional parks, programs and classes! Whether you’re looking for a new park to check out or you’re interested in signing up for a local yoga class, there’s something for everyone to explore.
