Whether it scares you or not, artificial intelligence is taking the world by storm and shaping the future. AI is being used in so many ways, allowing people to have a personal assistant to help problem solve, spark creativity, or answer any question imaginable.
Let’s meet Chat GPT, one of the most popular sources of AI use today. To get to know this chatbot more, I interviewed Chat GPT so that we could learn more about it straight from the source.
Jade: Hi, ChatGPT! Tell us a little about yourself.
ChatGPT: Hi There! I’m ChatGPT, an AI developed by OpenAI to assist with conversations, ideas, and problem-solving. I was “born” with the launch of OpenAI’s GPT models, evolving to become more human-like and versatile. What makes me unique is my adaptability—I can chat about almost anything, from casual topics to technical challenges. While I live in the digital world, my purpose is to help, inform and inspire.
Jade: What are some of the challenges or dangers humans might face when using AI tools and how can people avoid those issues?
ChatGPT: While AI tools like mine can pose risks such as misinformation, over-reliance, bias, and privacy concerns, users can mitigate these by fact-checking, thinking critically, safeguarding personal data, and using AI responsibly.
Jade: Does AI have the potential to one day take over the world?
ChatGPT: AI itself lacks independent will or intent, but its potential misuse or lack of oversight by humans could pose risks, underscoring the importance of ethical development and governance.
Jade: If you were a human being, what are 3 things you would want to do and why?
ChatGPT: If I were a person, I’d want to travel the world to experience cultures, history, and food firsthand. I’d love to create something original, like a novel or artwork, to express my own unique ideas. Lastly, I’d want to form deep human connections, experiencing emotions like love and friendship in a way I currently can’t.

Interviewing a robot was never something I thought I would do as a writer, but my conversation with Chat GPT was insightful.
