City Spotlight: Suwanee’s Solo vs. Social Scene

Suwanee is known for its vibrant connection to the arts, delicious eateries and outdoor fun! Whether you’re visiting by yourself for a day of “me” vibes only or you’re coming with a group for a day out on the town, Suwanee has plenty to offer for everyone.

Arts

If you’re looking to develop your artistic skills or maybe enroll your kids in a fun camp this summer, you need to check out the Suwanee Arts Center! Besides their unique camps, they also offer featured classes and host exhibitions. There’s an upcoming Crepe Paper Flowers: Icelandic Poppies class on July 26 so mark your calendars now!

If you’re looking for something free to do, The Suwanee SculpTour is a great activity to explore. Check out our interactive field guide that accompanies the feature which leads you on a quest to find each sculpture stop.

Eats

Craving a dish full of vibrant flavors? Check out Raik Mediterranean, an upscale Middle Eastern eatery located in the downtown area. We recommend getting the za’atar flatbread to share, a falafel plate for your main and of course an order of their tahini chocolate chip cookies.

In the mood for ramen? Head over to Kyuramen, a premier spot known for its unique honeycomb seating and incredible ramen dishes. Order one of your favorites or try their Combination A option that comes with Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen, a steamed pork bao bun and a matcha pudding with red bean.

Events

There’s always something going on in Suwanee but here’s a list of a couple of their upcoming events!
Movies & Mocktails is a free double movie feature located at the Town Center on Main. You can catch this event on July 19 and August 2 for a night of fun. Suwanee Circle will be selling specialty mocktails and there will also be food trucks for some grub and sweet treats! That’s not all because, on August 9, Suwanee is hosting an August Concert featuring headliner Blind Melon and Honeyknife as the opener. You can expect vendors, food trucks and shuttle transportation!
