VETERANS MONUMENT
The city’s Veterans Monument, located in Olde Mill Park, honors those whose actions have testified to their courage and devotion to our country. It is considered a great point of pride for residents; the American flag is proudly flown and illuminated at all times.
OLDE MILL PARK
Olde Mill Park was named after the steam-powered mills formerly located on site. In fact, the finial on top of the gazebo was part of the original mill! This passive city park houses a custom-built wooden gazebo that is popular for weddings and family gatherings.
TREE LIGHTING
The Annual Dacula Tree Lighting Ceremony is a great family-friendly way to start your holiday season! Join fellow residents in Olde Mill Park to enjoy seasonal festivities before the official lighting of the 30-foot tree, including the opportunity to meet Santa Claus.
MAPLE CREEK PARK
Maple Creek Park provides multiple activities that appeal to all ages.Take a stroll along the relatively flat 2,750-foot long walking trail. The playground area has new shade structures for those sunny days at play, as well as a rentable pavilion for special events.

The City of Dacula is a strong supporter of a superior educational system, producing exceptional talent in the arts, medicine, law and life science industries. Gwinnett County Public Schools is the premier primary and secondary system, and technical schools, colleges and universities are conveniently located nearby.
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
Every Memorial Day, the City of Dacula plays host to the largest Memorial Day parade in Georgia! Over 12,000 people attend annually to salute our veterans and first responders. The two-mile route travels through downtown Dacula via Dacula Road. Entrants include veterans, antique cars, community groups, pageant winners, antique farm tractors, elected officials and more!
COUNTRY ROOTS MUSIC
Music has always been important to the city. Previous residents were some of the earliest pioneers of country music and influenced multiple genres. Famous musicians with local ties include the Coronet Band, formed in 1909; Gid Tanner, who recorded “Down Yonder” in 1934, which is still a favorite today with bluegrass enthusiasts; and Roba Stanley, the first female country star to record solo with her recordings of “Devilish Mary” and “Mr. Chicken.”
DISC GOLF
Play a round of disc golf on the city’s new nine-hole course conveniently located in Maple Creek Park! The course is 2,535 feet long and can be made into an 18-hole course by reversing play after completion of the first nine holes. Both visitors and locals alike enjoy this fun, family-friendly sport.
